Even after setting our clocks forward 2 hours last night, I still woke up at 8:10 (6:10 body time). It's like Groundhog Day as we get to do Saturday, April 20 all over again. We don't actually cross the International Dateline until early this evening, but for all practical purposes, we're now on Honolulu time.
We were supposed to have a lecture where a Department of Defence documentary about the war in the Aleutians would be shown, but due to technical difficulties, it will be shown at a later date. And we learned just before lunch that we won't be going to Dutch Harbor after all, which is a bit of a disappointment. We have to go through Customs at our first US entry point and due to bad weather in the area, the Customs people can't fly into Dutch Harbor. So we will now go to Kodiak on Tuesday and they've added Homer on Wednesday. Ah well, ship happens.
Michael wanted to eat lunch outside on the pool deck under the heat strips. During lunch, I kept seeing what looked a bit like snow near the hot tubs. The temperature has been hovering just at freezing and there are plenty of clouds around. Sure enough, we walked across the pool area and it was snowing!

Not a snowstorm, but real snow

The fellow in the pool said it was still heated.

You can barely see some flakes over Michael's left shoulder.
Several people had birthdays on April 20, so Cruise Director Paul put together a little party for them, and by special dispensation, even though they had 2 birthdays, they only gained one year in age. All good fun.

There was even a cake with a calendar showing two April 20s.
This afternoon's lecture by Jeaa Rogers was on the use of drones in Alaska. It was her weakest lecture yet and I don't think I learned anything new. But Trivia was a first for us. Neither Jan nor Carol came but we still managed to get 11 points for first place! Woo hoo!
Dinner for 6 at Compass Rose (Jan is still nursing her sore throat and cough) was good again. They had the miso glazed sea bass again, but when I had it last time it was very different from what it used to be, so I chose seafood fettuccine, which was delicious. Sarah got the sea bass and it looked like what I was used to - rats.
Another hour forward tonight. Yikes!
